| 6-9 Apr 2012 | Andrew Parks | Andrew Parks (son of Lieutenant Colonel Eddie Parks Royal Marines) is one of the two-man TEAM Jackal who are in training to kayak for charity around UK in 2013. As one of their many preliminary training events, TEAM Jackal is competing in the 2012 Devizes to Westminster Canoe Marathon (125 miles over 4 days) over the Easter weekend. The team will be raising money for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund and would very much appreciate it if you could make a donation. | 6,7,8 Jul 2012 | 70mile Kayak Challenge | The event is a 70 mile Kayak challenge around the Isle of Wight and will be run from Southampton on the 6th, 7th and 8th July 2012. The Kayak team is made up of 12 fully qualified Kayakers and are serving and former Royal Marines from around the UK, we have also had donated a Safety Boat for the duration of the challenge and hope to get local and national media involved. The event will be Live Streamed throughout. The event will have 2 parts to it: Part 1 – The Kayak Challenge Part 2 – Sponsored Walk around the island. We will be kicking the event off with a meeting early in February and have invited all Kayakers and Instructors and some sponsors to attend, once we have had our meeting we will inform you of any changes/amendments to the event.
